Introduction

These Terms of Service describe the basic rules for using marQer. marQer is operated by marQer, Inc. By using marQer, you agree to use the service responsibly and in a way that respects creators, places, other users, and the service itself.

What marQer does

marQer helps people discover food and place recommendations through creators they trust. A marQ connects a creator with a place so users can understand who shared the place and why it may be useful.

marQer is a creator-powered discovery tool. It is not Yelp, Google Reviews, TripAdvisor, a star-rating app, a comments platform, a social feed, a restaurant CRM, or a restaurant booking, reservation, or delivery app.

Accounts and authentication

You may browse public marQer pages without an account. Some actions, such as saving marQs, trusting marQs, following creators, opening gated media, or clicking outbound source links, may require you to sign in.

marQer uses Clerk for account authentication. Authentication providers may include email or social login providers such as Google, TikTok, or similar providers if enabled for the service.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse marQer, scrape or crawl the service abusively, interfere with the service, attempt to bypass access controls, or use marQer in a way that harms users, creators, places, vendors, or the platform.

Do not upload, submit, or provide content that is unlawful, harmful, deceptive, infringing, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate for a creator-powered place discovery service.

Creator/place/source content

marQer may include creator-submitted content, place information, supporting notes, and source-linked content. Creator attribution and place context are core parts of the service, but the content may come from creators, public sources, or third-party platforms where applicable.

Copyright and takedown requests

If you believe content on marQer infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us at support@usemarqer.com with enough information for us to review the issue.

marQer branding

marQer™ and related names, logos, branding, and product elements are owned by marQer, Inc. Do not use marQer branding in a way that suggests endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation without permission.

Third-party services and links

marQer may link to or embed third-party services such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Google services, maps, creator source platforms, or other external websites where applicable. Those third-party services may have their own terms and policies.

No guarantee of place accuracy or availability

marQer does not guarantee that place details, hours, availability, menus, prices, creator links, source links, maps, directions, or third-party content are complete, current, or accurate. Check directly with the place or third-party service before relying on time-sensitive information.

Changes to the service

marQer may change, pause, remove, or improve parts of the service over time. Features may be added, changed, or removed as the product develops.

Updates to these terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. When they change, marQer will update the date shown on this page. Continued use of the service after updates means you accept the updated Terms.
