I knew that the Saturday brunch wait was going to be bad, but I didn’t know it was going to be 4 hours bad! When I got to the front of the line (literally 2 people ahead of me) the waitlist was unfortunately closed so I had to come back at 1pm and wait in line. And the line started up at 12:30 again! I’ve been to Golden Diner a couple times over the years, but can’t remember it being so crazy to get a table. But those pancakes and the chicken katsu club yannoe? Can make a guy go crazy for food. There’s something for everyone and it’s one of the places were you don’t have to drink, but you can drink! (We love bars! but sometimes you don’t always want to be in that setting) Sadly, a lot of diners are no longer 24 hours, but Diner 24 is keeping traditions alive! I actually hadn’t heard of this place until a friend told me about it, but I added it to my list as a spot that’s helping keep New York traditions alive — but with a twist! Chili oil mozzarella squares? Lobster penne pasta that’s actually good? And of course a solid burger. 👋🏼 Hey ya’ll, Calvin here! Arguably the most talked about Indian restaurant in New York, Semma has pretty much been on everyone’s list! Milly and I walked in with no reservation a couple weeks ago (hence the bar seating) and these are some of the things that stood out to us, both pros and cons! I will say that after eating here, I realized how little I know about Southern Indian cuisine, specifically Tamil cuisine so take our opinion with a grain of salt! I’m sure there’s a lot to appreciate but I think certain things flew over my head from lack of experience in this area.
