Seis Vecinos

Omar’s love and pride for The Bronx was clear from the second we walked into @seisvecinos . A son of Ecuadorian and Honduran immigrants, he grew up eating Central American cuisine throughout his childhood spent in the Soundview area. When his cousin Jennifer approached him with the idea of opening a restaurant with a focus on Honduran cuisine, he jumped at the opportunity to be involved. He told us : “I’m just extremely grateful” for Seis Vecinos Restaurant. “I wouldn’t be as close as I am with my family, I wouldn’t be the person I am today, I wouldn’t know this much about my own culture, my own cuisine” without it.
