The café offers modern food and drink options that emphasize Afghan ingredients and flavors. Little Flower aims to bring together the café owners’ Afghan and New York experience. While they also offer some amazing savory food options, this video focuses on their pastries. All of their pastries are made in-house and are creative and exciting. For example, I truly loved their Firni Donut, Turmeric Bun, and Cardamon Knot. Plus, Little Flower also features seasonal options such as their Strawberry Shortcake Danish. Their Firni Donut is topped with pistachio and burnt glazed sugar and filled with a cardamom and rosewater custard (paying homage to Afghan Firni). Meanwhile, their Turmeric Bun is made with croissant dough and is lathered with Mascarpone frosting.
