Chillier days are coming so what you need is a big bowl of SOUP 🗣️ 酸菜鱼 (Suan Cai Yu) is a Sichuan based Chinese dish that features some type of fish with pickled mustard greens. What you get is a hot, sour, tangy, full bodied soup with plenty of veg and of course fish, perfect with a bowl of rice. Personally this is one of my favorite Chinese dishes of all time, and it’s sooo underrated when people think of Chinese food. Nai Brother in LIC does it right and serves big portions. Depending on your protein, the large is $25-$28 and easily feeds 3-4, while the small is $15-$18. They also have several pickled sides and apps, which they sell containers of to take home. If you can handle the heat, the green pepper or signature sauerkraut with the basa fish are the way to go for the most authentic experience. Casual dining area and ok without reservation! #foodiehui — 📍Nai Brother LIC (奈哥老坛酸菜鱼) • Sunshine Tomato (日照番茄) & Green Pepper Sauerkraut (青麻辣酸菜) with Basa Fish (巴沙鱼片), Pickled Chicken Feet, Spicy Sauce with Tofu Skin . . . . #seafood #chinesefood #chinese #lic #soup #newyork #nyc #nycfood #nyceats #nycresturants #foodie
